‘Sock it to Cancer’ Awareness Day:
On the 31st of October we run a Cancer Awareness Campaign through asking the public to purchase and wear the ‘Funky ‘ socks we have designed. We especially focus on High Schools getting them to use it as a ‘Civvies Day’.
Young Cancer Patients’ Emergency Assistance Programme:
We have been assisting young patients at the Tygerberg Oncology wards with treatment regimes that the hospital can’t offer and we also meet palliative needs. We also provide food support to their families to ensure that the young patient doesn’t go hungry. Annually we purchase Christmas gifts for young cancer patients at Tygerberg Hospital’s Oncology wards.
